Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

MA

“Come, speak. For when you choose not to, then your silence can have its say.”

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, in training with The Psychoanalytic Therapy & Research Centre (PTRC), the Mumbai Chapter of The Indian Psychoanalytic Society. My three years of experience working with adolescents and adults, along with supervision, training and engagement in community events and reading groups has brought me to the juncture of a psycho-social lens for listening to others. My work involves holding a welcoming space for the concerns that appear, disappear, return, or are omitted. The aim is to flesh out an emotion-scape and help the other sit with the dynamics of the inner world.

Working with me will seem like a conversation. Both you and I will be here for you. I bring my experience to be curious about you and learn about your inner world. I provide the space for you to be, as you were, as you are, and as you want yourself to be. A space for the parts and polarities of the self to emerge and be attuned to. The flexibility of guidelines shall not be misrecognised for the rigidity of blueprints.

A first session with me is about your curiosity, doubts and expectations to find expression with me as a receiver who is curious about what brings you to this space. Two people taking the first steps of a journey grounded in trust.

A good fit for: If you doubt yourself, who you are, or why you desire what you desire, and deal with parts that feel uncertain, unfinished, frustrating or contradictory. The work requires going into depth and looking beyond the surface, at a pace that balances urgency and safety, ensuring it is sustainable and effective. If you are committed to your own growth, healing and self-exploration, then frustration and anxiousness can be companions in the space and a compass towards self-attunement.

Not the best fit for: If you want quick strategies, or tools solely for symptom management/reduction. If you are under 16 or over 55 years old.
