What’s the difference between psychoanalytic therapy and counselling?

Counselling tends to focus on a specific issue and works toward resolution within a shorter timeframe. Psychoanalytic therapy is interested in the broader patterns that shape your life, your relationships, and your sense of yourself. It takes longer because it goes further. Both have value based on what you’re looking for.

How do I know if this is right for me?

If you’re curious about yourself, willing to sit with process, and tired of approaches that stay on the surface, this is probably a good fit. You don’t need a diagnosis or a crisis to begin. You just need the sense that something in your life deserves closer attention.

How often will I need to come?

Once or twice a week, at a mutually decided slot. Consistency matters in this work, as it determines how deep we’re able to go with our reflections.

How long does therapy last?

There’s no fixed timeline. Some people work with us for a year, some for several years. Psychoanalytic therapy is open-ended because the work moves at the pace of your inner world, and that can’t be predetermined. We’ll talk about this as we go.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Not currently. However, we find online sessions just as helpful and continue to uphold high standards of therapy therein.

How do I choose a therapist?

Please visit our team page. You will find therapist’s training and orientation. If a therapist’s profile speaks to you, you can book with them. If you’re unsure, write to us and we’ll help you think it through. The therapeutic relationship really matters, and it’s worth choosing with some care.

What are your fees?

Our fees vary by therapist. You can view each therapist’s session fee on their profile when you book. We believe therapy should be financially sustainable for both the patient and the therapist, without it becoming unfair to anyone. If you have questions about fees before booking, feel free to write to us.

What is psychoanalytic supervision?

A space where your clinical work gets the same quality of attention you’re trying to give your patients. We think about your strengths, your blind-spots, your fears and your aspirations. The goal is to help you become your own best version of a therapist.

Who is supervision for?

Therapists at any stage of training who wish to deepen their psychoanalytic thinking. Whether you’re just beginning psychodynamic work or you’ve been practising for years and want a more nuanced insight, we believe in adapting to where the clinician is, and what they need.

For organisations

What is organisational consultation?

Every organisation has dynamics that nobody talks about in meetings but everyone talks about after them- that is the space we work with. Using a psychoanalytic lens, we help leadership teams see the unconscious patterns shaping their culture, their communication, and their decision-making.

Who is this for?

Any organisation where the problem keeps surviving the solution. If you’ve restructured, retrained, and resurveyed and the same issues persist, we need to look beneath the data.
