Lost and Found Psychotherapy

Lost & Found

A Space for Psychotherapy & Being

Therapists’ Writing Lounge

Overview

The Writing Lounge is a supportive space for therapists to work-through the anxieties and fantasies of writing. It works both as a co-working space to help therapists focus on their personal writings, where one will be able to find company virtually while they complete their drafts and as a creative writing circle twice a month where participants explore themes through prompts and sharing. It is a slow, community-based space that encourages writing, reflection, and connection.  Nature: 1) Coworking Space: People can come together and complete their pending work. This will be a holding space and will build a sense of community for them. 2) Creative Writing: Therapists often do not get the time to engage with their creative selves and this space can offer that to them while keeping the restorative nature at the core. This would only be twice a month and it would be based on a theme.

What This Workshop Will Explore

Therapist Writing Lounge helps create space for:
  • writing that often gets postponed under the weight of clinical work and daily demands
  • developing a more regular relationship with thinking and writing
  • staying close to questions, cases, concepts, and experiences that need language
  • Being in the holding company of peers.

Who This Is For

  • therapists, psychoanalytic psychotherapists, counsellors, psychologists, and clinicians in related mental health fields
  • early-career and experienced practitioners who want support in building or returning to a writing practice
  • those working on clinical reflections, papers, reading notes, talks, teaching material, or personal-professional writing
  • Clinicians working remotely and often long for the impact and company of a team.
