& Found
A Space for Psychotherapy & Being
My name is Aanchal Bhatnagar. I am a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist,
founder of Lost & Found, research scholar, & pet parent, amongst other things!
I have worked with a diverse group of people with varied emotional vulnerabilities, & a breadth of institutions like UNHCR, Lady Hardinge Hospital, Sutra Journal & different NGOs. I work with a Queer Affirmative & caste-aware sensibility and stand affiliated with the American Psychological Association (APA, Div 39).
I live the honor of holding the prestigious American Psychological Association Div39 Scholar Award (2019) and being a fellow at the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis (2023).
I believe psychotherapy provides us with an opportunity to create & practice a living that we have otherwise been denied or deprived of, sometimes even by ourselves.

It would not be wrong to start with a declaration that I have always seen great potential, interest & nourishment in Psychoanalysis. A journey that started with a keen interest in the field, evolved into a professional degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

During my academic tenure, I nurtured my curiosities by presenting & publishing works in academic spaces & therapeutic communities, like
-
The Learning Curve, Journal of Lady Sri Ram College, Delhi University 2014
-
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, 2015
-
Third International Psychoanalytic Conference, Delhi 2016
-
Holism: Possibilities and Problems, University of Essex, London 2017
-
IPA, COFAP, San Francisco 2019

My writings & thoughts also find themselves in
-
Times of India, Ask Expert Dec 22, 2016
-
NDTV, Healthy Lifestyle February, 2017

Currently, I run a private practice virtually and in Delhi, along with curating spaces of learning & sharing for the psychology community. My research & therapeutic interests lie in trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, attachment patterns, unconscious expressions of behaviors & emotional aches that demand to be felt.
Lost & Found is a slow-burn romance, an accidental recipe, an incomplete prose!
Though I have been in the field for several years, this mush never felt fully conceptualised to be put into words or world. Exhibiting my joy towards analysis, the idea of self-disclosure & experimenting with anything beyond the couch felt uncanny!
After much reflection & reckoning, I can now say that Lost & Found is a simple attempt at protecting (y)our vulnerabilities. It is a purpose-driven project that utilizes shades of psychotherapy in its expansive forms to create impact & recovery in the self, the community, and hopefully, the discourse.

Lost & Found is a professional space for psychotherapy & counselling, based out of Delhi, India, not uncontaminated from the socio-economic milieu, but withstanding its ground of creating a practice of authentic, empathic, rooted knowledge base.
